Our portfolio of resort, conference center and country club designs on Boston’s North Shore reflects an innovative interpretation of turn-of-the-century rural, estate and village architecture, including adaptive reuse of former mansions and estate grounds.
In New England alone, we have preserved and built clubhouses for sailing clubs, tennis and squash clubs, and private golf courses. The hospitality team has developed landmark inns with restaurants and boutique shops, and affiliated residential communities, along with other outdoor amenities such as equestrian trails, golf courses, and fitness centers. Community-based recreational facilities have included competition-rated swimming pools, squash and tennis courts, rowing clubs, gymnasiums, weight, fitness and exercise classroom spaces. Each project reflects its locale, whether it responds to a dense multi-story urban environment, an intimate village architecture or a grandly-scaled estate and park motif.
Outside New England, we have developed a domestic and international portfolio of work. Our design solutions have integrated the regional styles and influences of places such as the Red Sea in Egypt, former Dutch colonies in Aruba and Curaçao, and Victorian inns on the coast of Florida.
